Workshop by Natascha Sadr Haghighian & Haytham el-Wardany
Organised as part of a one-month research residency facilitated by Marina Christodoulidou and Peter Eramian
ENG:
Following Natascha Sadr Haghighian’s visit to Cyprus on the occasion of the exhibition hypersurfacing (curated by Marina Christodoulidou at the Nicosia Municipal Arts Centre 2019-2020), where a series of walking sessions and conversations were organised together with the exhibiting artists, Natascha was invited back, together with writer Haytham el-Wardany, for a one-month research residency. During this period, a workshop comprised of four gatherings was organised together with the hypersurfacing artists and their +1 guests. The workshop focused on close readings of ‘The Undercommons: Fugitive Planning & Black Study’ by Stefano Harney & Fred Moten and was complemented with collective meals organised by the participants.
