Just like a chord coagulates sound and subordinates its notes, just like notes subordinate harmonics and timbre, there are multiplicities of symbolic, structural and psychoanalytic elements within flows that both create and ossify identities. To identify is to solidify, to denominate and eventually to subordinate becoming.
In order to re-assess our condition we seek for different ways of approaching identity, more subterranean ones, ones that results from flows of becoming: a paradoxical neologism for something that in solidifying constantly changes (καταστ-αλλάζω) the rates of its becoming.
Flirting with pure becoming remains a proposition even though we admit that we would not survive a day in absolute becoming. We are bound to perpetually produce ad hoc identities, ad infinitum.
But receptivity affects productivity; identifying and differentiating sensations implies subordinating one sensation to another. Hence the need to dissolve distinguished faculties of sensation in favor of an empowering sensibility by producing identities that withhold the means to their subordination.
